I was born in Columbus Ohio, USA, in 1947. I graduated from Ohio State University with a BA in Psychology. I served in both the US Army and the Israeli Defense Forces. I have been writing poetry since I was a student at OSU. I moved to Israel in 1978 and live in Raanana. I am married and have three sons and eight grandchildren.
Same generation as me Mike. I’m in the UK and we have poems on Poet For the Day. I like your one walking with God! Do you like Blake by any chance? 😉
To be upfront with you, I am not a True Believer (in God); more of an agnostic. God is a rich metaphor for me in my poetry. Of course, William Blake was one of my favorites. Other favorites of mine: Yeats, Ezra Pound, T.S. Eliot, Yves Bonnefoy, R.S. Thomas, Gary Snyder, Ilya Kaminsky, Yehuda Amichai, Sharon Olds, Anne Sexton, and David H. Rathbun. I live in the NE of England in Gateshead which is on the other side of the river Tyne to Newcastle. Gateshead has a concert hall called the Sage and a contemporary art gallery, the Baltic.
I had a look at your WordPress blog and liked what I saw, so I’m following you now. I also have 2 WordPress blogs. One that might interest you is https://uncollectedworks.wordpress.com/.
